Cortney Lebens is the CEO of Muy'Ono Hospitality. In this role she sets the standards for the guest experience, oversees all business operations of the company including sales, reservations, and vacation planning. Cortney leads the entire Muy'Ono team and is responsible for creating amazing vacation experiences from start to finish. She works with each portfolio property to develop its story and finds creative ways to articulate it to potential guests.
Cortney acquired a knack for customer service in high school as a bank teller in her home town of Fredericksburg, Texas. After graduating from Texas State University, she returned to the bank in a management position. She did a brief stint in medical device sales before joining the Muy'Ono team and taking control of the day-to-day operations.
Cortney resides in Austin, Texas where she enjoys running along the river trail near her condo and listening to live music. She prefers temperatures above 70 degrees and enjoys adventures in the sun. She takes full advantage of her many “business trips” to Belize.
Tracy Ford is the COO and President of Muy'Ono Hospitality. He runs resort operations for all portfolio properties. In his role he sets the standards for service, creates operating plans, and works with the management and staff of each property to ensure amazing guest experiences.
Born into a hotel family, Tracy has over 30 years of experience in the hospitality and food service industry. Prior to moving to Belize, Tracy spent most of his career in Hawaii at world famous destinations including: the Grand Wailea, Ihilani Resort and Spa, Hotel Hana Maui, Kapalua Bay Resort and the Kauai Beach Resort. His career has also taken him on extended assignments to Bora Bora and Cabo San Lucas.
As Muy'Ono's President, Tracy ensures that the entire Muy'Ono portfolio is running smoothly. He is a hands-on manager who prides himself in creating a healthy work environment and providing guests with first class experiences in the world's most exclusive destinations. His passion for hospitality can not be matched.
Chad Nevelow is the financial controller for all of Muy'Ono Hospitality. He oversees all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. He prepares, finalizes and conducts month and year end accounting reviews with CEO and Board of Directors.
A graduate from The University of Texas at San Antonio, Chad has worked as an accountant in a variety of industries prior to joining Muy’Ono. He has worked in small startup companies in the tech industry until his most recent role with an international learning and development company. He draws on his experience gained from these high growth companies to help support the fast growing Muy’Ono team. His love of travel and the opportunity to get back to his startup roots drew him to this exciting role.
Chad embraces everything his hometown of Austin has to offer, from the many outdoor activities to the endless live music. He also enjoys playing golf when he gets the opportunity, just don’t ask him what his typical score is.
Kinsey East is the Chief Marketing Officer of Muy'Ono Hospitality, where she manages, performs and optimizes all marketing, advertising, and public relations activities for Muy’Ono’s properties and tour operators. Working to maximize brand awareness and drive revenue, Kinsey researches emerging trends and platforms to develop innovative marketing strategies. Before joining the Muy'Ono team, Kinsey worked as a digital marketing specialist and graphic designer.
Originally from Indianapolis, IN, Kinsey graduated from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. She lives in Austin, Texas with her husband and spends her free time traveling.
Ian Present is the Chief Revenue Officer. He creates and implements the revenue strategies for Muy'Ono’s portfolio. His comprehensive knowledge of industry platforms as well as innovative tactics ensure Muy'Ono’s growth across market segments and overall market share.
His unique passion for Revenue Management and attention to detail in business are directly linked to his entrepreneurial spirit. He started in the hospitality business in 2006 as a Bellman then progressed to Operations and then to Revenue Management, working in New York City and internationally. He has worked with major brands, including Hilton, Marriott, and Starwood, as well as independent properties in his career. Simultaneously flourishing as a business owner, he is a co-owner of the internationally acclaimed cocktail bar Dutch Kills and the pioneering high-end ice company Hundredweight.
A native New Yorker who understands the competitive nature of markets, Ian has gained a global perspective while visiting 24 other countries, from the major cities of Europe and Asia to remote islands in the Caribbean. He now calls Austin home and when not driving his 75 Bricklin enjoys the creative spirit that permeates the city’s culture.
WENDY LEWIS Financial Controller Belize Operations
Wendy Lewis is Muy'Ono Hospitality primary finance, accounting, and tax controller in Belize. She ensures that each portfolio property and business has systems and procedures in place for proper accounting and strong internal controls.
Wendy is a designated accountant from Canada and has 25+ years of experience. She obtained her Certified General Accountant designation in 2001 and has since worked in her own public practice firm, for the Province of BC as a Tax Auditor and then working for one of the largest tire companies in Canada as their Senior Tax Accountant.
Wendy has been happily married for thirty years and has two grown children. She moved down to Belize with her husband to escape the cold and hustle and bustle of Canada. They have found a much simpler life living in the small village of Placencia and have been able to explore their new passion for diving and have dove most of the wonderful sites on the Belize barrier reef. When they are not diving they are probably still on the water in their panga fishing or snorkeling.
Estevan Perera is Muy'Ono Hospitality’s legal counsel in Belize. He is a partner at Godfrey Law in Belize City and handles all the legal aspects of the firm’s work including contracts, acquisitions, employment, immigration, and regulatory affairs. As a key member of the Muy'Ono team he works with each portfolio property and business to ensure regulatory compliance and serve the management of each operation.
Mr. Perera holds a Legal Education Certificate (LEC) from the Hugh Wooding Law School and a LL.B. from the University of the West Indies. He has been appointed as a Director of both the Social Security Board of Belize and Belize Water Services Limited. He works closely with all government ministries and assists in securing permits where necessary.
Estevan enjoys the variety and pace of his work with Muy'Ono and is integral to the success of the business in Belize.
Originally from Guatemala, Clifford De Paz has led Belizean staff for over 10 years. Clifford has overseen the construction of the residences and day-to-day maintenance of multiple properties.
He currently oversees the maintenance of all of the resorts in the Muy'Ono Management portfolio. He’s a mason, an electrician, boat captain and is responsible for the training of new staff.
Clifford enjoys new construction projects and is proud of the custom designs and privacy of each villa he creates. His favorite view is of the sunrise through the floor-to-ceiling windows in Noshi Na (aka The Big House) on Royal Belize.
When not on the islands, Clifford lives on the mainland in the town of Silk Grass with his family.
