Muy’Ono is committed to preserving the beautiful, yet fragile, natural environment that is the main attraction in Belize. We focus on eliminating any potential negative environmental impact associated with our operations and encourage our guests to do the same. Muy’Ono Resorts take pride in offering responsible eco-tourism options. We implement innovative sustainability initiatives and build resorts with environmentally-conscious energy sources. Most of the resorts’ furniture and interior is designed using local and reclaimed materials. The resorts are powered by rainwater tanks and solar farms. Muy’Ono Resorts only use biodegradable materials and have greatly cut down the use of disposable containers. Muy’Ono has found that this actually increases the guest experience. From complimentary refillable water bottles to conscious energy usage, Muy’Ono guests are making a difference!

We are committed to water conservation and actively engage guests to participate. Each resort collects rainwater, utilizes desalinization, and other methods to conserve this precious resource.

Belize farms 90% organic produce. We source ingredients locally and even grow much of our food from our own farms. Meats are farm-raised locally, without added hormones.

Muy’Ono Resorts utilize solar and wind power to generate renewable energy.

Muy’Ono is decreasing its carbon footprint by phasing out Styrofoam and plastic and introducing bio-degradable or reusable solutions. Guests are given reusable water bottles to use during and after their stay.
